Here is the thing: I'm crazy about football and I know it. While I luckily manage to work somewhat in the field, that is obviously not enough! Aside from writing my blog about South American football over at Germancopa and some other sites, I needed a new outlet for my desire to watch games from all over the world. It is easy to watch a Bundesliga game, but how about football in Fiji or Cambodia?
Match Tracker will be my attempt to watch a game from every single country across the globe. While that is a goal that might be hard to reach (hi, North Korea), it should not be a problem for at least the first 150 or so. With several streaming options, officially on Bwin etc. and sometimes even less official, I am very much looking forward to this project.
One graphic you will see return during that series will be the following world map.
Whenever one country is completed, you will see it coloured on the map. This way the progress can be easily tracked. If you have any suggestion on what country I should do during my first few posts, do not hesitate to let me know.
Not only am I going to talk about the game I am watching, but also a little bit about the background of the teams, the league or even the country. That way, it should give you the best reading experience and you will actually leave with more than what you came with.
